Meals are an integral part of the school’s educational project. This is an important time during which children develop their learning of taste and benefit from the nutritional intake necessary for their growth. Each meal includes:<\/p>

  1. Salad, vegetable sticks or soup<\/li>
  2. A balanced and varied main course<\/li>
  3. Fruit, cheese or dessert.<\/li><\/ol>

    <\/p>

    The menus, prepared by a caterer, are diverse, balanced and adapted to the nutritional needs of children within their age range. Fruits and vegetables are chosen according to the season as much as possible.<\/p>

    The meat and bakery products come \u2013 unless otherwise stated \u2013 from Swiss production and carry the Suisse Garantie<\/strong> or Nature Beef<\/strong> label. Around 20% of the vegetables used are organic<\/strong> or IP-Suisse<\/strong> products. For meal preparation, Ryago <\/strong>mainly uses fresh ingredients.<\/span><\/p>

    A particular inclination is brought to the hygiene. The supervisors ensure that children wash their hands before eating. The Basel-Stadt Health Department regularly checks and confirms the cleanliness of our facilities.<\/span><\/p>
